This is a feature film portrait traces the history of the collaboration of choreographer, Merce Cunningham and composer, John Cage which began at the Cornish Institute of Allied Arts in Seattle, Washington. The film includes candid footage from around the world and interviews with Nam June Paik, Robert Rauschenberg, Alvin Lucier, Christian Wolff, La Monte Young, Gordon Mumma, Rudolf Nureyev, M.C. Richards, Michel Guy, Doris Dennison, David Tudor, Jean Rigg, Jasper Johns, Frank Stella, Edwin Denby, Irwin Kremen, Bonnie Bird, and Virgil Thomson.
