Signals (1970)
The Stephen Petronio Company will perform Signals (1970) during their Joyce season as part of the fourth installment of the company's Bloodlines project. Signals was reconstucted by Rashaun Mitchell (MCDC 2004 - 2011) and Melissa Toogood (MCDC 2007 - 2011). The types of cues varied by performance, resulting in each show having its own, unique order. David Tudor, Gordon Mumma and John Cage composed the music, which changed every performance. There was no set, and Cunningham designed the costumes– sweat suits bound with tape to give the figure more definition. info
