Organized by Tate Modern, London, and The Museum of Modern Art, New York, in association with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 'Robert Rauschenberg: Erasing the Rules' is a retrospective exhibition celebrating the artist's experimentation with various materials and numerous collaborations. Opening on November 18, 2017 through March 25, 2018, the exhibition will include more than 150 of Rauschenberg's artworks. info

RainForest (1968)
The CCN - Ballet de Lorraine will perform "RainForest" (1968) as part their program at the Reims Le Manège on November 25 & 26. "RainForest" was reconstructed by Ashley Chen (MCDC 2000 - 2003) and Cheryl Therrien(MCDC 1993 - 2003). David Tudor’s music evokes the chirping and chattering of birds and animals. Jasper Johns cut flesh colored leotards and tights with a razor blade to give the costumes a roughened appearance. info

Sounddance (1975)
The CCN - Ballet de Lorraine will perform "Sounddance" (1975) as part their program at the Bolshoi Theatre on December 1. "Sounddance" was reconstructed by Meg Harper (MCDC 1968 - 1977) and CCN - Ballet de Lorraine rehearsal director Thomas Caley (MCDC 1993 - 2000). David Tudor’s powerful score for "Sounddance" provides an energetic accompaniment to Cunningham’s fast pace choreography. Mark Lancaster designed the original costumes. info

Cédric Andrieux will perform "Cédric Andrieux" – Solo dance, December 15 in Saint Ouen, France. "Cédric Andrieux" a solo piece set by French choreographer Jérôme Bel on dancer Cédric Andrieux features excerpts from Merce Cunningham's "BIPED" (1999) and "Suite for Five" (1956). In this piece, Andrieux looks back over his career – at his early apprenticeship as a contemporary dancer in Brest, then at the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance, and subsequently as a dancer with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in New York (1999 - 2007). info
